The MART has come to be regarded as an equal partner in the national
government's pursuit of the development of the Philippine securities
market. It is duly recognized by all regulatory bodies and other
government agencies, and is consulted on matters pertaining to
fixed-income securities. MART's membership comprises about 90% of
dealers in the market, making it a rich resource for historical data,
development updates and current information about government securities,
commercial papers and other money market products. The MART has also
established trading guidelines and conventions in order to regulate the
trading activities of the member institutions, thus bringing the
association at par with the standards of its regional and global
counterparts.
